A catch-all e-mailbox is one that collects all the messages sent to inactive email addresses. For example, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone miswrites it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Only one mailbox per domain name can have this feature enabled and thus you will never miss emails because the other party has an obsolete address or has made a typographical error. The negative aspect of having a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving plenty of unsolicited bulk email messages, but this problem can be solved by using anti-spam filtering software. It is also essential to bear in mind that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all functionality cannot redirect inbound emails to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

Setting up a catch-all e-mailbox will be rather easy in case you have a cloud hosting with our company. You can activate this feature through our powerful, yet user-friendly Email Manager, which is built into the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will manage your account. You will find all the mailboxes that you have created shown in alphabetical order and on the right-hand side of each of them there will be a tiny "Catch-all" icon, which will instantly notify you whether a particular mailbox gets all the messages associated with a certain domain name or not. With one single click on the icon you can enable or disable this feature at any time. If there’s activated email forwarding or if some other mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a given domain, you’ll get a notification from our system. The latter won’t replace/disable anything automatically and without your approval.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all functionality can be activated without effort in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve created using the domains hosted in your account will be displayed in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you’ll find a small-size icon handily situated directly next to each one of them. With just one mouse click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your desire provided that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain name with this option already enabled and there isn't active email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and enable this feature through the contextual menu that will come into sight. If any of the requirements for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not matched, our system will let you know, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
